Training Options
By offering several programs, Circa Motorcycle Training gives you the tools to gain an advantage through specialized training. Learn more about your options below, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
Compulsory Basic Training CBT
Whether you’re considering renewing your CBT License, wanting to get on 2 wheels or progressing towards a full license, CBT is the first mandatory legal course that must be completed. please be advised that this is not a test, but an assessment of your ability to demonstrate and practice the ability to ride safely on and off road. CBT Certificate lasts for 2 years, unless more training is undertaken towards your A1, A2 or full A DAS training within 2 years. There are 5 elements that must be satisfactorily completed during your training, and upon completion, you will be issued with a DL196 Certificate that will last 2 years. Please note that this will entitle you to ride legally on the road, but does not permit you to ride on motorways, carry a pillion (Passenger) and full size L Plates must be displayed on front and rear of your motorcycle/moped. Motorcycle Module 1 Training
For the Progressive route to gaining your full motorcycle license, once CBT is completed, your next step will be to complete your Motorcycle Theory Test at an approved DVSA Test Centre, followed by your Module 1 (Mod 1) Training. This is comprised of DVSA Test Circuit Maneuvers that will be practiced off-road (on the Pad). once this is competently practiced and demonstrated, you will be advised to book your Mod 1 Test at a DVSA Test Centre. the Test normally lasts about 15 minutes from start to finish. You will be allowed up to 5 Minor (Riding Faults) and any Dangerous or Serious Faults will render your result as Fail. Motorcycle Module 2 Training
Following on from Mod 1 satisfactory pass, your next step towards your Progressive route to gaining your full motorcycle license will be to seek Module 2 (Mod 2) training and will be the final step of your journey into gaining your Full Motorcycle License. Mod 2 is comprised of On-Road Training where your instructor will Assist and Aid you towards your ability to ride on the road at a standard that is synonymous with what the DVSA Examiners will expect from you on the day of your test. Mod 2 Test normally lasts about 40 minutes and will be performed on the road. You will be allowed up to 10 Riding Faults (Minor Faults) and any Dangerous or Serious Fault will render your Test as a Fail.
